Please note that the 3-man crew began May 14th and completed the job on the 16th. The crew led by George did an excellent job. From the moment that they arrived at our home, they conducted themselves in a very professional manner! As the crew worked on the roof, they were fast, efficient and skilled in the operation of installing the materials. There was never any mess as they continuously “cleaned up”! In chatting with the fellows, they were friendly and polite. The entire process never interfered with our coming and goings but we were interested in watching from time to time! Eleazor Genge was the foreman of the team of roofing contractors supplied by Interlock Metal Roofing (Ontario) Ltd. to reroof our house at the address above. The job was started in 2011 and completed in 2012 and involved both the installation of a new aluminum sloped roof and a new flat roof covered by a heavy rubber membrane.

This job was very technical in that the roof was a complex series of dormers set on a steep pitch. There were numerous roof sections that required the metal shingles to be custom cut and several of these sections were curved which required much skill to execute properly.

We were more than impressed with the level of craftsmanship that Mr. Genge brought to the job. His careful attention to detail and his vast knowledge of carpentry and metal work provided us with an absolutely stunning end product. We feel extremely fortunate that Mr. Genge was the foreman provided on this job and we commend his services to anyone looking to complete this type of work.

Well, the time had arrived – we needed to replace our shake roof, what to do, what to do!

After perusing the options, we called Interlock Roofing and a young man (young to us) named Colin came to the house with facts & figures and some really great samples that included a black shake style that caught our attention.

Interlock Roofing makes a great permanent replacement for old moss ridden, algae eaten cedar shakes, and it was just too attractive to pass up so we signed up…

We are very pleased with the Interlock Roofing System that you recently installed on our 761 E.12th street property. We chose your product for it’s Clean, Contemporary look, Durability and Quality. Your installation Manager, Todd Jones, was always available for consultation. His professional approach and product expertise ensured we got what we needed to complete this Custom Design Roof, on time and within the budget.

As you are aware, our home is a West Coast Contemporary Design; constructed of post and beams, glass and cement; with a roof line that looks simple but is, in fact, unique and complicated. It has 2 vertical floating wings with a flat horizontal overhang between them, all rising to the peak. The roof, then, drops back over the remainder of the house with large overhangs over several decks. All sides are visible from the street. We needed a product that complimented this design and looked good from all angles.

Your installer, Mike Hayes, was excellent. His knowledge, workmanship and attention to detail made this roof a SHOWCASE for your product and our home. Many of our tradesman and all passersby have commented on the quality of work and your roofing system. All the comments are positive. It looks wonderful.

It was time to re-roof my house. Although I wasn’t sure if I was going to stay, sell or rent my home I decided a “life time” roof would benefit me in any case. My decision was sound. The roof is beautiful to look at and I get compliments from neighbors all the time. One of the aftermaths of a very heavy rain or hail is the sludge sediments from an asphalt roof that accumulates in the gutter – this is a thing of the past now.

This is the first winter with the new roof and I’m anxious to see if there’ll be a cost savings in my heating bills and conversely a cooler house in the summer but I don’t see any reason to question Interlock’s claims regarding improved home efficiency. There was no sales pressure tactics or gimmicks just a courteous professional who visited my home at the prescribed time and quickly drew up an attractive contract. The installer also performed flawlessly and professionally and completed the installation in the prearranged time line.

I wholeheartedly recommend Interlock and their products. You’ll have a life time of pride of ownership as well as being the envy of the block.
