I had expressed concerns to you about the actual appearance of the Interlock Roof. I thought from the pictures shown to us that it might look a bit ‘plastic.’ Such is not the case. The roof is really quite beautiful and a pleasure to the eye.

I also expressed anxiety about the noise that might occur with hard rains. Once again, this was not the case, and the roof (with the 1/2 inch foam underlay) is actually quieter than our previous layer of 3 composition roofs! This was a surprise to us both. The roof and foam also work as you promised on hot, sun-drenched days. Our interior ceiling is cooler to the touch than before… much cooler. An added bonus is the fact that I will never have to clean my rain gutters of those darn grit pebbles that our old comp-roof shed like cat hair. I will not miss that job! To reiterate, the product itself is fantastic, exceeded only by the installation and craftsmanship of your workers.

We wish you well here on the islands for a long and prosperous business venture. If you continue to do business with others as you have with us, we are positive you will do very well indeed.

I had an Interlock roof put on my house recently. I am pleased with it. The color of the roof matches my house nicely. Your employees did a good job of cleaning up the debris, especially considering the fact that one-half of my existing roof had to be stripped of its existing two layers of asphalt shingles. I would recommend this roof to others for these reasons and also for the following reasons:

When I bought my house over four years ago, it was ten years old and had an asphalt roof; the home inspector who looked at the house noticed that a few of the shingles were lifting and that there were some gaps in the chimney flashing that he said were consistent with normal wear and tear over the years. When I hired a contractor to make repairs, I was surprised to learn from him that many of the asphalt shingles were cracked and that one-half of the roof would need to be re-shingled; my mother and I have since heard from several sources that during the 1930s there were problems with bad batches of asphalt roofing shingles being manufactured.

Earlier this year, I had a minor roof leak in the half of the roof that was not re-shingled. The contractor who repaired it said that this half of the roof would probably last 3 or 4 more years, I’ve heard that an asphalt roof could last for 20 years, but this was not the case with my house.

I clearly wanted a roof that would last a good long time and wanted an alternative to asphalt shingles. I chose Interlock primarily because it is guaranteed for the life of the house. I also like Interlock for other reasons as well.

The aluminum shingles interlock with each other on all sides. This prevents the shingles from lifting over time, a problem that I had with the previous asphalt roof on my house.

I’ve heard that Interlock roofs are more energy efficient than other roofs. Energy efficiency is important to me and should be to everyone in this day and age and the future to come.

Finally, another reason that I like Interlock roofing is for safety reasons. While installing any roof on the house involves unavoidable safety risks to the roofing installers because of Interlock’s lifetime guarantee, no one should have to go up on the roof again once it is installed. During the life of a house, this reduces the amount of time that the safety of individuals who work on the roof of the house is at risk. With asphalt roofing on a house that requires replacing every year of the house’s life, there is an increased risk of a roofing installer working on the roof of that house getting hurt.

This is to give you feedback on our recent Interlock roof installation. The installation, including stripping the old roofing, went very well and cleaned up was as I had expected. This is an old house with dormers, and even since I have lived here (since 1956), it has had various leak problems that were never solved with new asphalt shingle jobs.

My wife and I met Mike Furman at the Home Show in Foxboro this past winter. I had asked about the system in other years but got so turned off by the salesperson I never stayed to talk. This year was the first time we’ve seen Mike. We started to talk with him and were readily put at ease. We were so comfortable talking with Mike that we agreed to have him come to our home and really talk business. Mike has a wonderful way of explaining the Interlock system. Not only is he intelligent and professional, but he is also patient. He never talked down to us or over our heads. He was always neatly dressed but not in a stuffy business suit, someone you could relate to.

The roofing crew led by Bakha, Alex (a great craftsman!) and the rest were a pleasure to deal with. They were very polite and accommodating. They worked some very hard, long hours to get the job done. They had to work around New England’s typical weather: sun, rain, hail, snow and wind. The weather delayed them a little, but they were soon done with the job. They cleaned up each night before they left, so we never had to worry about getting nails in our car tires.

The roof, it’s beautiful! It complements the style and design of our house. My wife said she had never looked at our roof much before, but now she stops in the driveway to admire it. Our biggest concern about it being noisy in the rain was taken care of. Mike was right! You really don’t hear the rain any more than before.

About four years ago, a friend of mine, George, from Berkley, MA, had gotten a metal roof. He loved it and always talked well about it. He has been answering my questions about it over the years and invited my wife and me to see it before we bought it. His is the Interlock system too. Since I’ve been talking to George for the past four years about your roofing system, I believe he should be given a “finders fee.”

I wanted to let you know how happy my wife and I are with our new Interlock roof and the quality of the installation work. The installers presented themselves in a very professional manner. They took great pride in their job and worked on our home as if it was their own. At the end of the day, they always cleaned up after themselves and never inconvenienced my family. The roof looks fantastic. It is much sharper and cleaner looking than our old roof. Since it was completed, we have had several hard rainstorms. The roof performed very well. One of our initial concerns was if rain hitting this new roof would be louder than our old. On those stormy nights, our fears were quickly put to rest. There was no difference in sound compared to our old roof. Then, the night before Thanksgiving, we had a snowstorm. This letter is in regard to our recent purchase and installation of an Interlock Roofing System at our home on 7 Shingle Island Lane in North Dartmouth. We experienced a failing asphalt roof after only 14 years! After a bit of research on the internet, we investigated and decided on an Interlock Roofing System.

Our salesman Michael Furman was outstanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and very professional and he answered all our questions pertaining to the materials and their installation. He assured us that our concerns on certain roof areas of our Log Home would be addressed and appropriate materials would be used. He was right!

We have a beautiful new green Interlock roof that looks amazing with the dark stained logs! Alex and his crew did an outstanding job during the installation and especially paid attention to the details we were initially concerned with. The crew was hard-working, courteous, and always professional. They were very patient in answering ALL our questions about the installation and challenging areas around the Log dormers and multiple skylights. They worked long days showing much tolerance and patience despite all the rain, cold and wind March/early April threw at them! They made sure at each day’s end to clean thoroughly and secure the worksite before leaving.
Our neighbors have commented on what a great-looking roof it is and the great job the installers did as well. We’ve even had people drive down our street from the main road upon seeing the roof to comment on its outstanding look. Many of them have been following the progress since its start.

Dear John,

We were in the market for a roof and knew we wanted a metal roof. Came across Interlock while doing some research and contacted them immediately. While it is on the pricey side, knowing that this roof will last a lifetime is very comforting.

At the time of this review we’ve only had it for a week. The weather hasn’t been terribly hot to determine if its cooler. Other than that, the roof looks exceptional! Plenty of materials for the roof were delivered a day prior to installation and quite a few materials were even left over. The existing roof didn’t require removal before installation which made it possible to install over it and completed in five days. There was a rainstorm one of the days otherwise they would’ve completed the installation in four days.

The three-man crew (Salvador, Esteban & Humberto) were very courteous, knowledgeable professional, and took pride in their work. Under the supervision of Jesse and the young man (Benjamin) cleaning up the area made the installation run quickly and smoothly. The entire team were a pleasure to work with!

Thanks for doing such a great job on our roof! We initially found out about Interlock from looking at a neighbors roof and seeing how nice it looked. We were in the market for a roof so asked for a referral and then contacted Interlock. John was very knowledgeable and offered some great options. We were a bit hesitant at first for two main reasons. First, we got a little sticker shock because the price was so much higher than an average roof, and Second because we were scared the roof would be noisy when it is raining since it was metal. For one, the price value is worth it in the end. You know you received a quality roof that will be the last roof you’ll buy on that property. Dear John,

Several years ago, I became fascinated with the idea of a metal roof. Tired of constantly looking at my roof for signs of deterioration, I wondered if a metal roof was a realistic option for a home, as I only noticed them on barns and businesses.

A few months ago, you and Mike Rasmussen visited my home to provide an estimate. I was shocked at the number of options of beautiful metal roofs, that were not just functional but very attractive. Now, with the job complete – I couldn’t be more pleased. Neighbors and friends all have the same response, wondering if this is really a metal roof and commenting on how attractive it is.

One of my concerns in deciding upon a new roof related to previous experience with roofers. A twenty-year warranty for a roofing company that went out of business, asphalt shingles that began deteriorating less than 10 years after installation, with manufacturers blaming the installer and the installer blaming the manufacturer made warranties meaningless.

My experience with Interlock has been excellent from beginning to end. Knowing that Interlock both manufactures and installs its roofs eliminated my concern about responsibility. A lifetime warranty (limited to 50 years when I sell my house) means I no longer have to worry about replacing my roof. It’s such a relief to know I am done with such concerns.

You and Mike assured me that the installers would be meticulous and clean the area around my house every night; however, they did far more than that. I have seen many roofs installed and it is usually a quick installation.

Under the careful supervision of Jessie, the installers tediously worked to cut and detail each section. Working around the chimneys, they worked to be sure every detail was perfect, spending several hours in one small area. Preparing the areas around the eaves and valleys (not sure how to describe things) was very time consuming as they wanted everything to be perfect. This is something else my neighbors noticed.

The pride they took in their work was apparent at every turn, as they answered all my questions and explained why they were doing various things. When they began working on the addition, one of the workers asked me if that room was cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I thought he was clairvoyant because it has always been the most uncomfortable room in the house. He explained there was no vent on that part of the roof, which impedes air flow. They added a vent, at no extra cost, once more, an indication of their commitment to excellence. I’m looking forward to seeing the difference in the winter – hoping I can remove the space heater.

There was one young man, who spent each day making sure everything was cleaned up. None of my trees, plants, or flowerpots were damaged. I’m not sure they were even touched. After each of the 4 days, the only indication that work was being done, was the dumpster in my driveway, as everything was meticulously cleaned.

Concern for the environment is very important to me and knowing that my roof eliminates additional landfill waste is definitely an additional benefit.

Thank you for living up to every promise you made when you first visited . I couldn’t be more pleased with my investment. A few neighbors who recently got new roofs were sorry they hadn’t known about how attractive and permanent metal roofs are. A few others have said they will seriously consider metal roofs when it’s time to replace their existing roofs.

So my years’ long dream of a metal roof is complete; far more attractive than I ever imagined, highly functional and permanent. My only disappointment is that I anticipated listening to the rain hitting the metal roof – but it’s actually very quiet.
For most, I guess that is another plus.
