A realtor, who lives down the street, told us we have just increased the value of our house

5/5

We are very happy with our new aluminum shake roof by Interlock Roofing. What you see in the brochures is what you get.

The people at Interlock are friendly, efficient and create a roof that we will never have to be replaced.

Our neighbours all like our roof. A realtor, who lives down the street, told us we have just increased the value of our house. We like to think, we have increased the appeal of our house, because we like the look of our house even more than we did before the new roof.

The installation was just as advertised - expedient and professional

5/5

Just a short note to say how pleased I am with my Interlock Roofing System. The product has surpassed my expectations as far as looks and functionality are concerned. All of my neighbors have commented on it favorably and I have actually had people stop me on the street to discuss it’s attributes. The installation was just as advertised – expedient and professional. The crew went above and beyond to ensure the job was to my liking.

The acid test for any job is the answer to the question “If you were to do it again would you use BC’s Best Roof and the Interlock System?” My answer to this is a resounding “Yes!”

Thank you.

The new roof on our house here on Bowen Island

5/5

To Whom it May Concern,

We want to express our appreciation for the good work done by Antonio and Tyler this weekend putting the new roof on our house here on Bowen Island.

Considering the difficult conditions and challenging nature of the work they were doing for us, their attitude was always positive, friendly and professional.

Their working day was long but they kept going very diligently until the job was finished. They also cleaned up nicely and their job appears to be first rate, so we have nothing but compliments for the job they did.

I have no hesitation about recommending them to your clients.

Sincerely,

Replacing our old cedar shingle roof with Interlock Standing Seam

5/5

Now that you have completed the job of replacing our old cedar shingle roof with an Interlock Standing Seam aluminum roof, Jayne and I are writing to express our thanks for the work that you have done.

At all times throughout the project, we have been impressed by your professionalism, work ethic and attention to detail. We would also like to thank you for taking efforts to minimize the disruption caused by us by the work and for carrying out several extra jobs (including the replacement of light bulbs in hard to reach lights under the eaves of our house and several sections of corroded downpipe) willingly and efficiently.

We are pleased to have had you in charge of the work on our roof and would have no hesitation in strongly recommending you and your team to anyone else wishing to install a new roof.

Yours Sincerely,

Our gorgeous house with an equally gorgeous roof

5/5

Drip, drip, drip. This is not a sound you want to hear at 3:30 am… in bed… coming from your attic… in the dead of winter. A quick peek in the attic confirmed my worst fears, the ice dam on the roof was allowing melted water to seep through the crappy asphalt shingles and into the house. We called a local contractor and had the ice dam removed, but this didn’t fix the underlying problem that our current roof was cheap and damaged. My wife and I moved into a beautiful three story brick tudor on Madison’s near west side in the fall of 06′. It was perfect in that it had been beautifully remodled with gorgeous woodwork, marble, stunning attention to detail, with the exception of the roof.

We had decided that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, this was the house we were going to stay in until retirement, so why not invest in a metal roof. After a couple of weeks of research and interviewing we settled on Interlock. Part of the choice was made on the quality of the product and part was made on the salesmanship of the rep, Chuck.

Work started and except for some problems with the weather, things progressed smoothly. We were especially impressed with the steps the crew took in regards to safety and our stay-at-home neighbor told us about how exciting the crew was, “you’re definitely getting your monies worth”, was her exact quote. At the end of the job the crew even emptied out all the trash that we had pulled out of the attic for us. Now that’s service!

After everything is said and done we’ve been able to cap off our gorgeous house with an equally gorgeous roof.

Thank’s Interlock!

It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products

Albany, New York

Dear Bob,

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed.

We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood.

We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on.

We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

Sincerely,

Reduced heat and electricity bills

5/5

Dear Interlock,

This letter is in regards to the absolutely gorgeous roof you recently installed for us.

The roof looks amazing. The red choice was a little nerve racking, but it is even better than we could have imagined. We live on a very busy street and we can often hear cars slowing down in front of the house to look at the roof.

Mike met with us in mid March and was extremely knowledgeable about the product and answered all our questions. When we were ready to proceed with the project. Miranda was very helpful and courteous to us. Within a couple of days of getting the go ahead for the project, one of Interlock’s installers was at our door, saying they would be starting the next day. He notice something that was missed in the initial roof review and suggested we add some ice guards above our skylights for extra protection. They started the next day promptly at 8am and with fear of rain the following day they worked til well after dark and then picked up the debris from our yard and took it away with them. They also carefully covered the additional materials to be used in case of rain. They finished the project in a couple of days and cleaned up every day before they left. The installers were very polite and worked hard to get the project completed.

We plan on staying in our home for many years to come and are pleased with the decision we made to go with the Interlock Roofing System. Both for the beauty it adds to the exterior of our home, the immediate savings coming over our way with reduced heat and electricity bills and the long term benefit of never having to replace the roof again.

Sincerely,
Christopher and Danon Perry

Disciplined, Competent, Professional

In Lunenburg, Nova Scotia—a town where the past and present sail together—Fred’s home is a unique blend of heritage and innovation. Located along the picturesque shores of Lunenburg Harbour, his residence offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic, a constant reminder of the town’s deep maritime roots.

Established in 1753, Lunenburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its well-preserved colonial architecture and storied shipbuilding legacy. It’s the birthplace of the famed Bluenose schooner, a symbol of Nova Scotia’s seafaring prowess. Strolling through its vibrant streets, one can’t help but feel the echoes of sailors and artisans who once animated this coastal gem.

Fred’s choice to install the Deep Charcoal Interlock Slate Shingle Metal Roofing System aligns seamlessly with Lunenburg’s ethos—honouring tradition while embracing innovation. This roofing solution, with its lifetime warranty, is a testament to its durability against the coastal elements. Its 4-way interlocking design ensures energy efficiency and high wind resistance, making it ideal for the Atlantic climate. Top 10 Roofing FAQs for Lunenburg, Nova Scotia Homeowners

What’s the best roofing system for Lunenburg’s coastal climate?

Living in Lunenburg means dealing with salty ocean air, intense winds, fog, heavy snow, and the occasional hurricane. A roof here needs to do more than just look good—it needs to resist corrosion, shed snow, and stay put in strong winds. That’s where Interlock Aluminum Roofing shines. It’s made for coastal environments, unlike steel roofing, which can rust, or asphalt shingles, which wear down quickly under salty conditions.
Asphalt shingles are inexpensive up front but don’t last long near the sea. They’re prone to curling, cracking, algae, and wind damage, especially in coastal towns like Lunenburg. Interlock’s aluminum system comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty, is wind-resistant, and doesn’t absorb moisture—making it a far better long-term investment.

No. Aluminum doesn’t rust, which is crucial in Lunenburg’s salt-rich air. Steel roofing systems—even galvanized or coated—can corrode over time. Interlock roofs are made from marine-grade aluminum and finished with a protective Alunar Coating designed specifically for longevity in Atlantic Canada’s coastal conditions.

Composite roofing mimics the look of slate but is still prone to UV fading, cracking, and shorter lifespans in harsh climates. Interlock’s Slate Shingle profile delivers the same look with better durability and resistance to wind, salt, and snow. Plus, it’s lighter and easier to maintain.
Lunenburg has many historic homes where natural slate fits the style—but it’s very heavy, expensive, and can crack under freeze-thaw cycles common in Nova Scotia. Interlock Slate Shingles offer a lightweight, durable alternative that honors the traditional look without the structural strain or risk of breakage.
Rubber shingles or membranes (like EPDM) are usually reserved for flat or low-slope roofs. In Lunenburg, most homes have pitched roofs, and rubber materials aren’t as attractive or durable for residential use. They can also degrade under UV exposure. Interlock provides architectural style with 50+ years of performance.
Yes. The 4-way interlocking design ensures that each panel connects tightly on all sides, making it one of the most wind-resistant roofing systems available. It’s tested and trusted in high-wind areas—including along the Atlantic coast—where Nor’easters and hurricanes can roll in without warning.

Absolutely. Interlock roofs are coated with heat-reflective Alunar finishes that help reduce heat absorption in the summer while also providing excellent insulation support in winter. That means lower heating and cooling bills year-round, even in Lunenburg’s changing seasons.

Yes. Interlock offers profiles that mimic traditional slate, cedar shake, and tile, so you don’t have to sacrifice style for strength. Homes in Lunenburg’s historic district can benefit from the classic look of slate or shake, with none of the constant maintenance or structural reinforcement needed by heavier materials.

Because it’s made to last, built for salt air, wind, and snow, and it never needs to be replaced. While asphalt and other materials may seem cheaper upfront, they require re-roofing every 10–20 years. Interlock comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty, is solar panel–compatible, and keeps its curb appeal for decades. That’s why more and more homeowners in Lunenburg are choosing Interlock—the last roof they’ll ever need.
Lunenburg’s beauty comes with some roofing challenges: ocean air, snow loads, wind, and historic standards. Interlock Metal Roofing is the answer. It’s rust-proof, wind-tough, energy-efficient, and designed to last for life—all while complementing the town’s unique coastal charm.

Looking for a product without exposed fasteners and one that could handle the high winds

5/5

We own a property close to salt water, so we were looking for a product without exposed fasteners and one that could handle the high winds. We had a couple of companies bid on the job and decided to go with Maritime Permanent Roofing.

The estimator (Greg) was very personable and explained the entire process from start to finish. The installers were very professional and hard-working. We are pleased with their job and happy with the look of the new roof—lots of compliments from family and friends.

We needed new roofing after only 13 years

5/5
We needed new roofing after only 13 years. Shingles were worn, and lots of small leaks after a big rain. Although the metal roofing was twice the cost of regular shingles, we decided to go the permanent route. Now when it rains we have no worries and this winter snow will not be an issue either. The 50-year warranty ensures that in 15 years or so, we will not have to re-roof. John the marketing consultant was great to work with, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
